ध्येयाचा शोध घेताना अनेक ब्रेक लागायचे, ठेचा लागायच्या. अनेकदा दोरी तुटलेल्या पतंगासारखी स्थिती व्हायची.
माझ्या डोळयात भोळीभाबडी स्वप्नं होती.
त्यांना प्रयत्नांची, कष्टांची जोड दिली.
जेवढा मोठा संघर्ष, तेवढं मोठं यश !
काळ बदलतो, वेळ बदलते, पात्रं बदलतात आणि भूमिकाही !
बस् ! मनगटात, स्वप्नांना जिवंत करण्याची,
पंखांत बळ निर्माण करण्याची,
लाथ मारीन तिथं पाणी काढण्याची जिद्द आणि
अविरत संघर्ष करण्याची तयारी ठेवावी लागते.

माझ्यासारख्या तळागाळातल्या,
कष्टकऱ्यांच्या, कामगारांच्या घरातल्या
अपुऱ्या साधन-सामुग्रीनं आणि पराकोटीच्या ध्येयनिष्ठेनं
कुठल्यातरी कोपऱ्यात ज्ञानसाधना करणाऱ्या
अनेक ‘एकलव्यां’ना दिशा दाखवण्यासाठी
मी हा पुस्तक-प्रपंच केला आहे.
